ABOUT  TATE

I learned about the ADA during my junior year of undergrad in an Independent Living class, and it quickly became my passion. I began asking myself: if the ADA has been around since 1990, why are inaccessible buildings still being built? I became baffled by the discrimination that people with disabilities encounter every day in terms of access, employment, transportation, and many other basic functions of daily living. Since that class, I've made accessibility the core of my educational and professional goals, and I don't plan on giving up until people with disabilities can enter and access every building they desire.
